Through an agreement with the Fairfield County Ohio Court of Common Pleas we have obtained over four hundred court books dating back to the formation of Fairfield County in 1803. These include the following Court of Common Pleas records: Minutes and Journals from 1803 to 1937, Judgment Records from 1803 to 1939, Partition Records from 1812 to 1970, Indictment Records from 1813 to 1959 Pleading Copy Books from 1870 to 1933, Appearance Dockets from 1833 to 1929, Criminal Dockets from 1839 to 1930, Execution Dockets from 1845 to 1935 Supreme Court Records from 1803 to 1852 (when it rotated between counties). Additional miscellaneous 19th century records from the Circuit Court, Appeals Court, District Court and Chancery Court as applicable to Fairfield County.
