Fairfield County, Ohio has a variety of interesting small villages. Many were associated with the Ohio-Erie Canal or the Hocking Lateral Canal - Millersport, Carroll, Baltimore, and Sugar Grove, some were on Zane's Trace - Rushville and Amanda, and some were home to glass factories and oil / gas wells - Bremen and Pleasantville. Filled with interesting relics of Fairfield County's past, these areas are an interesting respite from today's fast paced world.
